Birds, planes, hot air balloons, butterflies, kites, rockets . . . there are many things that have the ability to "take flight." At Parkside Elementary, it is our desire to help our students "take flight" as they continue to grow academically and socially.
During this school year we will work toward the goal of making "Dreams Take Flight" for our students by encouraging the planning and implementing of engaging educational experiences, as well as providing any additional support our students may need. Our parents will always be an important part in helping their child's dreams become realities. Parkside Elementary has a dedicated staff that looks forward to working with our parents toward achieving that goal.
Throughout the school year, there will be "guideposts" that will help both parents and teachers assess how well each student is progressing- both academically and socially- Interim Reports, parent conferences, report cards, state assessments, quizzes, tests, and so on. We encourage parents to monitor their child’s progress on a regular basis, and work with his / her teachers to be sure their child is putting forth his / her best effort.
